Based out of the Chicago area, Latin Swing Factor fuses traditional Puerto Rican salsa swing with a Chicago soulful twist! With original arrangements of Top 40 hits such as Careless Whisper and Superstition, along with traditional covers from salsa legends such as El Gran Combo and Frankie Ruiz, they will surely have you dancing and singing along no matter the language or age group!
Born of a Husband & Wife Team
Both veterans of the Chicago music and entertainment scene, Tino, a Chicago Humboldt Park native of Puerto Rican and Mexican descent, and Valerie, a Southern California native of Mexican descent, both grew up loving salsa; Tino as a musician and Valerie as a salsa dancer and dance instructor. With having upbringings that surrounded them with soul and R&B music, music that they grew to love, they decided to fuse the two loves, and in doing so, want to bring salsa music to a wider audience, incorporating classic Top 40 soul and funk hits we have all known to love!
